What is the Gospel?

Welcome

Peace be with you
Paul Washer, The Gospel. The most terrifying truth of Scripture...

Paul Washer, The Gospel. The most terrifying truth of Scripture...

All glory to God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ the Worthy Lamb of God, the eternal Son of God, God in flesh who suffered the wrath of God we deserved, borne our griefs and Carried our sorrows, took on the iniquity of us all and died for our sins, buried and rose again so that if we repent, turn away from our sins confessing and forsaking them, knowing God is Holy, Just and Perfect and righteous, and we are sinful depraved wretched sinners, who broke the Ten Commandments (lied, stolen, blasphemed, lusted, coveted, idolatry) and Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins through faith in His blood. The kingdom of God is at hand! We are saved by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and repentance, sealed and sanctified in the Holy Ghost, ordained unto good works, and chosen by the good will and counsel of God the Holy  Father.

In the beginning (Genesis 1) God created everything good, but Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and sin entered into the world, henceforth why there is disease, death, corruption, and sin seperates us from God, (Isaiah 59:2). Due to our fallen sin nature inherited from the first Adam, we are in natural rebellion against God, we lie, steal, blaspheme, lust (adultery in the heart) , covet, hate (murder in the heart), and friendship with this world is enmity with God for the lust of the flesh and the eyes of this fallen world is not of God. We all know God exists, intelligent design, order and our conscience bears witness (Romans 1:19-20, Romans 2:15). We sin against God yet God is still patient with us, and provides us family, food, water, resources and wants us to come to repentance. God has provided us The Holy Scriptures (2 Peter 1:20-21, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17), which is the word of God, full of Biblical Prophecies, archeological, scientifical, historical data and is infallible! God is Holy, Just, Perfect, Righteous, Eternal, All powerful, All knowing, and God must condemn guilty sinners to Hell because justice must be served Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.(Revelations 21:8, Exodus 34:7, Psalm 89:13, John 3:18, 36). God who is Loving, Patient, Kind, whose mercy endureth forever (Psalm 103, 136, 139), 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

GOOD NEWS > Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (1 John 4:10). John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, The Worthy Lamb of God, God manifested in flesh (1 John 4:3, John 1:1-5, 1 Timothy 3:16) and came into this world to seek and to save that which was lost, to call sinners to repentance. (Luke 19:10, 1 Timothy 1:15, Luke 5:32). The Lord Jesus Christ lived an sinless life, performing many miracles, healing and teaching, was, as the Scripture foretold,  persecuted, betrayed,

Isaiah 53:4-6

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

the Lord Jesus Christ, willing fully laid down His life for vile wretched sinners like us, suffered the wrath of God we deserved, (Luke 24:46, Matthew 26:39) died for our sins, was buried and then rose again on the third day.

God calls on men everywhere to repent, turn away from your sins, and turn to God in reverence and godly fear (James 4:8, Matthew 4:17, Acts 17:30, James 4:6, 2 Chronicles 7:14, 30:9, 1 John 1:9, Proverbs 28:13, Acts 3:19) and to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and the atonement sacrifice made for remission of sins through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ blood. God the Father chose us out of His good will and Blessed counsel, and redeemed us through the Lord Jesus Christ, and sealed us and regenerated us in the Holy Ghost. (1 John 5:7, John 10:30, 14:26, 1 Peter 1:2, Ephesians 2:8-10). God offers salvation as an free gift, something undeserved, and something we must recieve humbly only in and through the Lord Jesus Christ our rock and redeemer which was, and is, and is to come.

2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost,

be with you all. Amen.

John 3:3

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again,

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Matthew 22:37-39

  1. [37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38] This is the first and great commandment.
[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1 Corinthians 13:3, 13

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

“He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24)

Life’s greatest mystery, death, was destroyed by the One who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” The Bible says, “He who has the Son has life…”

“Dear God, I understand that I have broken Your Law and sinned against You. Please forgive my sins. Thank you that Jesus suffered and died on the cross in my place and rose again. I now place my trust in Him as my Savior and Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

The Gospel

GOOD NEWS    Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

I’d love to share this amazing news with you, but first, there are some things to cover.

Unfortunately we live in a society that intuitively knows God exists (through intelligent design, order, conscience,

objective morality, sense of justice, logic and reasoning, and so on.) but suppress the truth in unrighteousness.

People tend to not like what goes against their pleasures. Our sin separates us from God hence why Jesus said we

must be born again. We are not following myths, God has made it evident, whether through (24,000 manuscripts,

9 ancient sources, 500+ eyewitnesses, historical, archeological, scientific data, historians, scholars, and professors know

this to be true as well even outside sources, above all the word of God) Biblical Prophecies and the death burial and

resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Would you rather live a lifestyle of sin filled with carnal pleasures and be condemned

or receive eternal life God offers as a gift by His amazing grace through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Where are you going when you die? Do you think you’re a good person?  If so

* How many lies have you told? * Have you ever stolen anything despite its value?

* Have you fornicated or entertained lustful thoughts (aka. committed adultery-of-the-heart)?

* Maybe you’ve never gone so far as to murder someone, but have you simply harboured hatred for another human being

(aka. committed murder-of-the-heart)? * Have you desperately longed for something you do not own, or

that someone else possesses? (covet) * Have you taken God’s holy and awesome name in vain, using it as a swear-word? (blasphemy),

Have you remembered the sabbath day? These are some of the Ten Commandments.

Now, if God were to Judge you on the Ten Commandments, would you be innocent or guilty?

--------------------------------------------- The Results-------------------------------------------

You and I, we have both broken God’s laws, we would be guilty, none are good but God. Since the fall of man, it is now embedded

into our very nature to be dreadfully sinful, utterly disobedient, and outrageous rebels. Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned

and fall short of the glory of God”. God is Holy Righteous Sovereign Perfect and Just and will condemn guilty sinners to Hell,

just as a Just Judge must condemn someone guilty of a crime. God has given us a conscience to know right from wrong.

GOOD NEWS! The Ultimate Sacrifice and Victory

Though we’ve broke all God’s laws, and will be justly condemned to Hell if we remain in our sins, God is the God of Love whose

mercy endureth forever, God does not want any to perish but for all to come to repentance, so God sent His Son, the

Lord Jesus Christ, (God manifested in the flesh), to suffer the wrath of God we deserved, then Christ died for our sins, was buried,

and rose again on the third day conquering sin death and the grave! God offers salvation as a free gift, amazing Grace!

------------------------------------------- Our Response------------------------------------------

When we repent of our sins and trust fully in the Saviour to rescue us from our own sinfulness, we become new creations!

“The old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17)! Along with inheriting our new identity as a Christian, a child of God,

an ambassador for the Lord, we are assured a place in Heaven and gain the desire and power to battle sin. Repentance is to

reject your old sinful ways of living and make a 180-turn towards God and His good, righteous character/statutes. It means

we feel the weight of our guilt before God and respond by sincerely apologizing for our wickedness, thanking Him for His

pardon through the blood of Jesus, and living the rest of our lives to please Him — and Him alone. Trusting alone in Christ

knowing no amount of good deeds can save you, and following Him loving the Lord thy God being obedient, faithful and enduring till the end.

Summary

To sum it up, We’ve all sinned. Every single one of us needs saving and we can’t save ourselves; Jesus Christ, the blameless

Messiah, truly God & truly man, humbled Himself as a servant on Earth and died a horrible death, paying the penalty we

rightfully deserved for our own sin. Three days later, He conquered sin/death once-and-for-all by resurrecting from the grave.

Now, through Christ’s death and victory, we can be made alive (no longer spiritually dead). He paid our ransom, our fine,

and triumphed over the power of sin so that we could do the same, following after Him. Turn away from sin, reject your old

way of life and place the entirety of your trust in Jesus Christ following and surrendering to Him being obedient and faithful

enduring till the end, denying ourselves, taking up our Cross and following Christ. We must be set apart from this corrupt

world, and rebuke the devil and our flesh, and submit to God. Humble yourself, and read the Bible. Thank you for taking the

time to read it, the person reading this, I care about you so much and there is nothing more important than your salvation,

and God wants you to come to salvation. Peace be with you. Love you!
